Simple Slow Cooker Beef n Broccoli

Directions

    Add a 2 pound chuck roast (cut into thin strips) to your crockpot.

    Add 1 cup of beef broth, 1/2 cup of soy sauce (or coconut aminos), 1/4 cup of brown sugar, 1 tablespoon of sesame oil, and 4 minced garlic cloves.

    Whisk the ingredients together and pour it over the meat, making sure each piece gets wet.

    Put the lid on and set the crockpot to low for 3 hours.

  5. 5.

    After 2 1/2 hours, take the lid off, give it a quick stir, and try a piece of beef to check for doneness.

    Add 4 tablespoons of water and 2 tablespoons of cornstarch (or 4 tablespoons if you like it thicker).

    Whisk the water and cornstarch into a slurry and add it to the pot.

    Add a head of broccoli cut into florets, stir, and put the lid back on for 30 minutes.

    After 30 minutes, take the lid off and serve over rice.

    Sprinkle sesame seeds on top, if desired.
