Directions

    In a bowl, mix 3 cups of all-purpose flour, 1/4 teaspoon of baking powder, and 1/2 teaspoon of salt.

    In a measuring cup, combine 1 cup of water and 8 tablespoons of butter. Warm this mixture in the microwave for 1 minute and a half.

    Gradually add the water and butter mixture to the dry ingredients and start mixing until the dough forms.

    On a clean surface, knead the dough for 5 minutes.

    Place the dough back in the bowl, cover it with a clean kitchen towel, and let it rest for 15 minutes.

    Make small dough balls, about 8 of them, and lightly dust them with flour.

    Flatten each dough ball and roll it out using a rolling pin.

    Place the rolled-out dough on a hot comal or skillet and cook for 15-20 seconds per side.

    Place the cooked tortillas in a container or tupperware to keep them warm.
