Directions

  1. 1.

Put a wide pan over medium-high heat.

  2. 2.

Add olive oil to coat the bottom of the pan.

  3. 3.

Add seasoned boneless pork chops to the pan, laying them away from you.

  4. 4.

Adjust heat down if needed, to prevent smoking and burning.

  5. 5.

Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until browned.

  6. 6.

Remove pork chops and set aside. Pat dry and season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and Cajun seasoning before cooking.

  7. 7.

Add butter to the pan. Then add the diced onions, pepper, salt, and garlic powder. Cook on low until softened.

  8. 8.

Add flour and cook for about a minute or two.

  9. 9.

Add about a cup of beef broth and stir, until the onions loosen up and start to form a gravy.

  10. 10.

Add another cup of beef broth.

  11. 11.

Add a third cup of beef broth or more, until the desired consistency is reached.

  12. 12.

Simmer, then add the pork chops, ensuring they are fully coated in the sauce.

  13. 13.

Add the juices from the plate where the pork chops were resting.

  14. 14.

Cover and simmer for at least an hour, or until fork-tender. Check at 45 minutes and go from there.
