Directions

    In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, salt, and water to form a dough.

    Knead the dough well for at least 15 minutes until soft and smooth.

    Roll out the dough into a large rectangle.

    Spread soft butter (not melted) evenly over the dough.

    Roll the dough into a log.

    Cut the log in half, then roll each half into a rectangle, and spread more butter.

    Roll each rectangle tightly into a log, and flatten it again.

    Spread more butter on the flattened dough.

    Roll the dough into a log again.

    Flatten the log into a large circle and place it on a greased baking tray.

    Cover the dough and let it rest for 30 minutes.

    After 30 minutes, flatten the dough again on the tray and spread more butter on top.

    Bake in a preheated oven at 250°C for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
