    Add a quarter cup of beef broth, one-third cup of brown sugar, one-third cup of coconut aminos, three tablespoons of hoisin sauce, a quarter teaspoon of ginger, a pinch of black pepper, and a pinch of red pepper flakes.

    Stir until all combined, ensuring it is not watery.

    Make a cornstarch slurry by whisking together two tablespoons of cold water and one tablespoon of cornstarch.

    Pour the cornstarch slurry into the pan and stir well, bringing it to a boil.

    Prepare the chow mein noodles per package instructions.

    Once the sauce is thick and noodles are ready, add the noodles to the pan and stir until coated.
