    Add 1 lb of cooked, crumbled, and drained ground sausage (maple flavor preferred).

    Sprinkle 1 cup of shredded Colby Jack cheese over the sausage.

    Pour 2 cups of prepared peppered white gravy over the cheese.

    In a separate bowl, whisk together 6 eggs, 1/2 cup of milk, salt, and pepper.

    Pour the egg mixture over the casserole.

    Use a fork to gently swirl the gravy and egg mixture, incorporating some into the bottom.

    Bake at 350°F for 40-45 minutes, or until the top is lightly golden brown.

    Cool completely, cover with foil, and freeze for make-ahead option. To reheat, thaw overnight and bake at 350°F until heated through.
