2Cut off the top of the onion and use the cap as in the video.
3Cut the onion into 16 slices from the top to the bottom.
4Place the onion in the ice-cold water for at least 2 hours.
5Mix one egg with 50 ml of milk.
6Mix 100 g of flour, 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper, 1 teaspoon of sweet paprika and 1 teaspoon of salt.
7After two hours, remove the onion from the water.
8Pass the onion through the flour mixture and then through the egg and milk mixture.
9Sprinkle generously with breadcrumbs.
10Spray the air fryer base with oil.
11Place the onion in the air fryer and spray some oil on the onion.
12Cook in the air fryer at 190°C/374°F for 20 minutes.
13Prepare the sauce: Mix 2 tablespoons of mayonnaise, 3 tablespoons of sour cream or Greek yogurt, 1 teaspoon of ketchup, 1/4 teaspoon of dried garlic, 1/4 teaspoon of sweet paprika and 1/2 teaspoon of dried chives.
