Directions

    In a bowl, cream together softened or melted butter and sugar.

    Add eggs and cream them in.

    Add baking soda, baking powder, and vanilla.

    Add about half of the flour and stir in.

    Add some of your buttermilk and mix that together.

  6. 6.

    Add the rest of the flour and mix that in with buttermilk.

  7. 7.

    Cover and refrigerate overnight.

    Next morning, flour your surface, bring out the dough and roll it out.

    Lightly flour a baking sheet.

    Cut cookies and place them on the baking sheet at least 1/2 inch apart.

    Bake the cookies.

    Take cookies off the baking sheet and place them on a cooling rack.
