Hasselback Teriyaki Tofu Steaks

Directions

    Press the tofu using plates and a towel.

    Slice the tofu into two steaks, and then slice it all the way along at 2-3 millimetre intervals. Use chopsticks to prevent the knife going all the way through.

    Combine teriyaki sauce with soy sauce, maple syrup, lime zest, lime juice and ginger.

    Add most of the sauce to the tofu, saving some for topping and push the sauce into the grooves.

    Put the tofu in the oven to cook.

    Prepare the toppings: chop the spring onions and chillies.

  7. 7.

    Plate up with rice and cucumber.

    Add the remaining sauce to the tofu and sprinkle with sesame seeds.

  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • 1 bowl rice
  • 1 cucumber cucumber
