Directions

    Press the tofu.

    Slice the tofu into two steaks.

    Slice all the way along at 2 to 3 millimeter intervals using chopsticks to prevent the knife going all the way through.

    Combine teriyaki with soy sauce, maple syrup, lime zest, lime juice and ginger.

    Add most of it to the tofu saving some for topping.

  6. 6.

    Push the sauce into the grooves to get as much flavour into the tofu as possible.

    Bake the tofu.

    Prepare the toppings.

    Serve.

  • 1 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 tbsp lime zest

  • 1 handful spring onions
  • 1 pinch red chilli
  • 1 handful sesame seeds
  • 1 bowl rice
  • 1 bowl cucumber
