Directions

    To a baking dish, add thinly sliced onion, French onion soup, chicken or beef broth, and long grain rice.

    Stir well then add butter slices on top.

    Add boneless skinless chicken breasts or thighs.

    Sprinkle on an Italian cheese blend, provolone or Gruyere.

    Add an onion soup mix packet.

    Cover tightly with foil and bake at 350° for 1 hour and 15 minutes.

    Remove the foil and evenly distribute crispy fried onions.

    Bake an additional 15 minutes.
