    Hydrate bread crumbs with cream and soy sauce.

    Prepare thinly sliced onions using a mandolin.

    Sauté onions in butter and oil until golden brown.

    Mix beef, caramelized onions, bread crumbs, salt and pepper in a bowl.

    Add one egg to the mix and combine thoroughly.

    Form the mixture into patties.

    Cook the patties in a frying pan using butter and oil until browned.

    Prepare a pan sauce with the pan drippings, onions and cream.

    Serve patties with boiled potatoes, pickled cucumbers, buttered peas and pan sauce.
