    Add one cup of mashed sweet potatoes to a bowl.

    Add one-third cup of milk to the mashed sweet potatoes.

    Add one package of Miss Lena's Cornbread mix to a bowl.

    Add one-half cup of sugar to the cornbread mix.

    Add three eggs to a bowl.

    Add the eggs to the cornbread mix.

    Add one cup of whole milk to the bowl.

    Whisk everything together.

    Add one stick of melted butter to the batter.

    Add the sweet potato purée.

    Mix until fully incorporated.

    Add two drops of orange food coloring (optional).

    Pour batter into a buttered baking dish.

    Tap on the counter to remove air bubbles.
