Directions

    Toast nori sheets in a pan until crispy, then crush them by hand or in a blender.

    Toast white and black sesame seeds in a dry pan.

  3. 3.

    Add katsuobushi flakes to a pan, add soy sauce and sugar and cook until almost dry.

  4. 4.

    Transfer the cooked katsuobushi to a pan to cool down.

  5. 5.

    Mix all three ingredients together.

    Add togarashi for an extra kick of heat (optional).

  • 1 cup katsuobushi flakes
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 0.5 tsp togarashi or dried chilli flakes
