Directions

    Coat beef back ribs with a layer of Japanese barbecue sauce.

    Sprinkle on a little MSG.

  3. 3.

    Season with salt, pepper and garlic.

    Add freshly cracked black pepper.

    Fire up smoker to 250°.

  6. 6.

    Place ribs directly on the grates and let them smoke for 3-4 hours until bark is barkin'.

    Lay down butcher paper, pull ribs off and coat them in more Japanese barbecue sauce.

    Wrap them tightly and throw them back on the smoker for another 2-3 hours until they get over 200° internal.

    Let them rest for at least an hour.

  10. 10.

    Unwrap, brush on the rest of the sauce, finish with sesame seeds and slice between bones.

    Add green onions.
