Directions

    Slice onions thinly.

    In a hot pan, melt butter and add the onions.

    Stir frequently until caramelized (about 40 minutes).

    Add caramelized onions, olive oil, egg yolks, Parmesan cheese, salt and pepper to a bowl.

    Blend until smooth, adding water gradually to thin the sauce.

    Boil the spaghetti until al dente.

    Toss the cooked spaghetti into the pan with the sauce.

    Mix well and warm over low heat for about 1 minute.

    Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
