Directions

    Add a pound of ground beef to a hot pan and break it up. Brown it.

    Once browned, drain. Add five minced garlic cloves and cook for a minute or two until fragrant.

    Add a quarter cup of beef broth, one-third cup of brown sugar, and one-third cup of coco aminos.

    Add three tablespoons of hoisin sauce, a quarter teaspoon of ginger, a pinch of black pepper, and a pinch of red pepper flakes.

    Stir until combined. If the sauce is watery, make a cornstarch slurry by whisking together two tablespoons of cold water and one tablespoon of cornstarch.

    Pour the cornstarch slurry into the pan, stir in, and bring to a boil.

    Prepare the chow mein noodles per package instructions.

    Add the noodles to the pan and stir until coated.

    Add some noodle water and stir.

    Add green onions and toasted sesame seeds.
