    Start off with just a touch of oil in the pot.

    Add popcorn kernels.

    Cover with lid and shake the pan occasionally until popping stops.

    Pour popcorn into a bowl.

    In a pot, add sugar, salt and don't stir.

    Once it turns to a dark caramel color, stir in the butter.

    Add bicarbonate of soda and mix well.

    Pour popcorn into caramel and mix well to coat.

    Lay popcorn on a baking tray to cool.
