    Trim the fat from the ribs.

    Remove the membrane from the ribs.

    Marinate the ribs in a dish with the juice of two oranges and a quarter cup of apple cider vinegar for 30 minutes.

    Make the BBQ rub by mixing together a quarter cup of brown sugar, two tablespoons of smoked paprika, one tablespoon of onion powder, one tablespoon of garlic powder, one teaspoon of ground mustard, half a teaspoon of cayenne pepper, half a teaspoon of chili flakes, half a tablespoon of salt, and half a tablespoon of black pepper.

    Place the ribs on a baking tray lined with aluminum foil, sprinkle with the BBQ rub and pat it into the meat.

    Bake the ribs in the oven at 275°F for about three hours.

    Make the blackberry BBQ sauce by simmering twelve ounces of blackberries with half a cup of water.
