Directions

    Boil pasta until cooked.

    Shred cheese using a box grater.

    In a bowl, mix all the shredded cheese together.

    Divide the cheese mixture into two bowls.

    In a small container, mix salt, pepper, garlic powder and smoked paprika.

    In a frying pan, melt butter.

    Add half of the seasoning mix to the melted butter.

    Add 3 tablespoons of flour and mix well.

    Add one can of evaporated milk and whisk immediately to avoid clumps.

    Add 2 cups of heavy cream and whisk.

    Add the remaining seasoning mix.

    Add 1 tablespoon of Dijon mustard.

    Let the sauce thicken.

    Add half of the cheese mixture to the sauce and mix until melted.

    Add the cooked pasta and mix well.

    Layer the mac and cheese in a baking dish, starting with a layer of pasta, followed by cheese, and another layer of pasta.

    Top with the remaining cheese and bake at 350°F for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is melted and bubbly.

    Broil for 1-2 minutes to create a crust.
